I think the most important to learn English is the self-motivation because it´s a hard and long way. My trick is to watch dvd films and tv series in original version (with Spanish subtitles by the moment).
the Javier's trick is very interesting, but when I watch a film in original version, I lost details because I read a lot of subtitles, then I tired and the film is very long for me.
You should practice every day and do everything you can in English.
